Description: | Aleksandra Truba tells about the Vladimirovka of her childhood and describes the changes that have taken place over the decades in their lives. This was recorded in the little house where BP was staying, with Aleksandra Truba coming by prior arrangement to tell a few little anecdotes she'd prepared. Nobody was present except for BP and a cat who can be heard jumping to the floor from the stove and at some point it miaowed. Recorded with a Marantz PMD660 solid state recorder and an AKG 1000 S microphone, in mono, and a Panasonic HC-V707EG-K video camera on a little tripod on a stool set up in the middle of the room and zoomed in on AET. The ELAN was aligned with the audio extracted from the video file, but the original audio file is archived in addition, since that has better quality. Transcribed by Brigitte Pakendorf, transcription checked and Russian translation done by Aleksandra Truba. Glossed by Brigitte Pakendorf, questions clarified with Aleksandra Truba and Antonina Kazarova. // Александра Егоровна Труба рассказывает, каким был посёлок Владимировка в её детство, и как изменилась жизнь негидальцев с тех пор.
This project focuses on the documentation of Negidal, a highly moribund Northern Tungusic language spoken by at most a handful of individuals on the Amgun’ and Lower Amur rivers in the Russian Federation. The language comprises two dialects, Upper and Lower Negidal, of which the latter might already be extinct. The project will result primarily in an extensive corpus of interlinearized texts from the Upper dialect together with accompanying audio recordings.
Aleksandra Truba worked as a nurse and doctor's assistant. She spent two years in Ukraine with her Ukrainian husband when her children were small. Her father was an Evenk, so that she uses quite a lot of Evenki words.
