Description:This is a procedural recording describing how to prepare the salago plant in order to extract from it and prepare the traditional Alta clothing. Maebell, another young Alta and Ate Tikkay went down to the nearby forest in Barangay Diteki, locate a suitable salago plant and start working on it. While Ate Tikkay is shaving and crushing the material, she explains what she is doing in Alta, while Maebell’s younger cousin is shooting videos or taking pictures with the Canon digital camera. The session contains a set of short videos of that afternoon, a set of photos, the wav file that was created on the scene, and the Elan files with a transcription to Alta and a translation to Tagalog.
