Description:Ayi Raheli Lawi talks about Babati, from her childhood, to the time she moved there in 1976, to present day. She talks about her church-related work while living there (distributing clothing, working with people with leprosy), describes what her modern house was like. She describes how Babati was much smaller in the past (including the lake, which was also much smaller), a town of farmers, fishermen, and herders, and how the post office was once the most important building in town. She then talks about the rapid changes brought about when Babati was made regional capital || Ayi Raheli Lawi anaongea kuhusu mji wa Babati, kutoka utoto wake, kupita muda alipohama kule, mpaka sasa. Halafu anaongea kuhusu mabadiliko makubwa Babati ilivyotajwa mji mkuu wa mkoa || For any use of this single material, or of a small number of materials from the larger deposit, please include the following credit lines: 1.
