Description:In this session I repeated some aspects of jeju0078 which was about the TAM markers -no-/-ko-. I then proceeded to discuss some lexical items I had heard before. It contains a very interesting Jejuan interjection t͡ɕʰɒmakala, and a discussion of the classifiers t͡ɕik and kulle. It showed an interesting discrepancy between competence and performance, where one could in theory count up to high numbers with these classifiers, yet it is culturally improbable that one would ever say that using these. Jeju0081.mp4 is a joint file of all separate session recordings; one will see how towards the end of each section the image abruptly changes. jeju0081.wav, jeju0081-01-02.wav, Jeju0081-03-04.wav and jeju0081-05-08.wav are audio extracts of their m.mp4 counterparts, wherea jeju0081-09 up to jeju0081-11 are parallel high-quality audio recordings. Towards the end of jeju0081-01, there is some grey haze on the picture building up, and it disappears again during the first few minutes of jeju0081-03.
This project aims at building an annotated audio-video corpus of spoken Jejuan with a focus on conversational genres, supplementing existing documentation of narratives and songs.
