Bibliographic Citation:Ratu, Hilarius, Danerek, H. Stefan, Sophune, Pidhu (Ebbe), Danerek, H. Stefan, Bangu Thaline; 2015-11-01; Genre: Medicine/huru. Bhangu Taline, kampong Pasir putih, Ropa,Flores north coast across Palu'e, tells his huru, 'huru muku' (huru banana). It is a mantra to protect the banana trees (he did not mention that he put a sign anywhere among the trees). Symptoms: stomach ache, blood in feces, vomit blood. Cure: Dermally applied, with chewed areca nut and piper betel (assumption), Nusa Raja root, garlic, ginger and red onion. Water and ashes (of that root?) are mixed and drunk. Recorded by Pidhu Sophune (Ebbe), using the AT Lavelier mic (loud), at his house, midday, with two of Bhangu's friends. From Ebbe's two day-one night trip to Lio (Ropa, Aiwora) when he recorded Paluenese residents, and a few Lionese (for comparison, 'huru' and language), in these seaside villages. Pictures.; digital wav file recorded at 44,1 khz/16 bit, eaf file, photo jpeg file; Kaipuleohone University of Hawai'i Digital Language Archive;http://hdl.handle.net/10125/47723.
