Description:Traditional chanting, drums and singing calling out to spirit world and past generations of the dead ancestors for the spiritual connection, protection, comfort, prosperity of the people and nourishment to the land and soil, for rain for planting and good season harvests. The traditional drums called Kasausau and Katuniniva are used for dancers performed in a circle with full traditional dressings. The singing and the chanting are all about their Kula trading of valuables for social status and recognition. They go in voyages to and from island to island and the danger they face in the Ocean with high seas so they chants to the spirits to help them surf the rough seas to safety. (Steven Gagau, May 2018). Language as given: Kiriwina
