Description:A 265 item wordlist in the Welaun from the hamlet (kampung) of Oele'u in Bauhoo village (desa). Welaun20171204_OeleuWordlist-original.pdf contains the original transcription made during elicitation of the wordlist. Welaun20171204_OeleuWordlist-typed.pdf contains a typed ‘phonemic’ version of the original list. Where the two PDFs differ over the presence/absence of certain segments (i.e. glottal stops) the typed version should be taken as authoritative as these have been checked against the recording which is, of course, even more authoritative than any transcription. Welaun20171204_OeleuWordlist-TextGrid.txt contains an (incomplete) text grid file (open in a text editor and save with .TextGrid extension) with the Indonesian prompts used to elicit words. This can be opened in Praat along with the recording to locate the recording of particular lexical items. At the time of writing Welaun does not have its own isocode and the Kemak isocode is used. Nonetheless, Welaun is clearly a distinct language. Original file name: Welaun-20171204-2-Bauhoo-Wordlist . Language as given: Welaun
