Description:Translation (Rita Seng Mai) The story I'm going to tell is about a king and his two sons. Once upon a time, there was a king in a country. He had two children. Since he was getting old, he wanted to pass his throne to one of his sons. He wanted to know who was more intelligent, braver and stronger. He tested his sons. He called both of them, "My sons, cook a meal for me. You need to make sure no one can see you when you're cooking. You must cook it in a safe place. Not even an animal can see the meal." Then, they were searching for the safest place to cook the meal. After searching for a while, they found it. The elder brother thought to himself, "This is the safest place. Not even an ant is here. I will cook here." He cooked a meal and took it to his father. The younger brother also found the safest place to cook a meal for his father. He thought, "Even though the people and animals can't see where I cook, GOD knows. There is no safe place that GOD doesn't know." So, he didn't cook anything. The elder son said to the king, "Dad, I've cooked the most delicious meal for you at the safest place, where no one can see." But the younger son said, "Dad, I've found the safest place too. But there is no place where GOD can't reach or see. So, I didn't cook anything for you." After hearing their answers, the king decided to pass his throne to the younger son. The king knew that there was no place where GOD couldn't see or reach, although people couldn't reach it. His second son was smart and clever enough to know that. So, he chose his second son to be a king. Transcription (Lu Awng) Ya ngai hkai na maumwi gabaw gaw hkawhkam wa hte kasha 2 a lam re. Moi da hkawhkam langai mi gaw la kasha 2 lu ai da.
