Description:Translation (Htoi Awng) A long time ago, there was a boy in a village. He always did good things for other people. One day, he was thinking while walking, "I save people's lives, so I'm so happy. Yesterday, I saw a bird whose wings are broken. It couldn't fly at all. So, I saved it and cured it well. Whom should I help today?" Then, he saw a tortoise in a trench. So, he decided to save it. Then, he jumped into the trench and picked the tortoise up. And he tried to climb up the trench, but it was too high for him to climb up. He thought, "Whom should I ask for help?" Suddenly, he had an idea how to do. He shouted, "Help! Help! Help!" Then, the demon heard the boy's voice. The monster came to the boy. It thought, "I got the food for today." It grabbed the boy with his long hands. The demon said, "I'm going to eat you." The boy requested, "You can eat me. But, can you release the tortoise, please? Since I came here to save the tortoise, I want the tortoise to be alive." The demon agreed not to eat the tortoise and released it. The tortoise ran away. Then, the demon was about to eat the boy. The boy said, "Wait! Please don't eat me. There is a lot of food in the world. I will show you." The boy led the demon to the bank of the river. When they reached there, the boy showed a dense thicket on the bank. He said, "There are lots of food inside that thicket. There are many eggs too. But I don't know whose eggs they are." Then, the demon thought, "If I eat him, it will be only for one meal. If I can have the eggs, I can eat those every day." Then, it decided to eat the eggs. The demon entered the thicket. Unfortunately, it was the right time when the dragon mother was laying her eggs. The dragon was furious and chased after the demon. She ate the monster. Finally, the boy escaped from the danger because he had saved many lives. Since he did good things for others, only good things happened to him. Transcription (Lu Awng) Moi shawng e da mare langai mi kaw she da la kasha langai mi nga ai da.
