Description: Translation (Mike Tu Awng) Long time ago near a village, there was a big forest. In that forest there was a young monkey. The monkey lived very happily as it could dance every day. It could dance everywhere as it was interested in dancing. Even when it was downhearted, it danced to console itself. While the little monkey was living in that way, one day there was a festive dance concert, where people were playing guitar, beating drums, and playing flute and people were dancing happily. The little monkey was sitting on a tree branch and peeping at the concert. The monkey was saying to itself, "I want to dance very much, too." It was amazed by looking at how people were dancing. While the monkey was staring at the concert, it got an idea to pretend like a human person. Thus, it tied its tail around the wrist, put on human clothes, and went to the concert. And, the monkey joined the dance with people. People also thought it was human so they led the monkey to dance. While the monkey was dancing happily, it dropped its tail unconsciously and started dancing like a monkey. People were shocked seeing it dancing like a monkey. The monkey was unaware of its tail dropping from its wrist. The monkey noticed its tail as it realized that people were staring at it. Once the little monkey noticed its tail, it rushed into a bush nearby. The monkey ran to the forest. It ran to the deep forest far from the concert. But people followed after the monkey. The little monkey thought that villagers were running after it to beat it to death. As the villagers were running after the monkey, it was getting tired. As it was getting tired, it went to lay down under a tree. The monkey was lying down and crying heavily. The villagers asked the little monkey why it was crying so heavily. The little monkey replied, "You are going to kill me because I am a monkey, not a human being." It continued, "As I was watching you all danced, I really wanted to dance, too, that's why I joined dancing but I am not a human being." When the little monkey said that the villagers replied by saying, "Your dancing steps were very beautiful so teach us how to dance." The villagers continued, "We will make you friend, let's dance with us." And, they led the little monkey to dance. The little monkey taught them its dance steps and the villages taught their dance to the little monkey, too. And, they lived happily ever after.
