Description: | Translation (Rita Seng Mai) Once upon a time, there was a couple in a village. They loved each other so much. Soon, the wife got pregnant. Unfortunately, she died during labor. The mournful husband usually went to his wife's tomb and cried there. He was crying there the whole day. He missed her so much and cried there the whole day. Then he saw a flower plant growing near his wife's tomb. He thought, "What kind of flower is that?" He plucked the flower and smelled it. It had a nice fragrance. He was worried that the cows might step on the flower. So he enclosed the flower with a fence. The plant was gradually growing and even bore some fruits. If someone ate that fruit, even their fart would smell nice. The whole plant produced a nice fragrance. He thought, "I will grind these fruits and apply its powder to my body. And I will go to the palace." He prepared everything and went to the palace. He said to the king, "My king, may I fart here?" He asked the king whether he could fart there. The king asked him, "What do you mean?" When the man farted, the entire palace was filled with a pleasant fragrance. The king said, "Oh. Your fart has a nice smell." Then the man called every villager and farted in front of them. The fart only produced a pleasant smell. The villagers were surprised about it. The king asked the man, "Do you have the seeds of that plant?" He answered, "Yes, I do. But if you want the seed, let's exchange something for it." The king said, "I have a daughter. I will let you marry my daughter." The man said, "That's great." The king grew the seed. Later, the man's orphaned son also had people who helped him grow those plants. The fart would have a nice smell. The leaves were dried and then ground into powder. The leaves were made into powder. Transcription (Lu Awng) Moi shawng de da shang la lahkawng nga ai da.
