Description:Translation (Mike Tu Awng) Once upon a time, there were a mother pig and piglets. The mother pig had three piglets. Then, the mother pig said to her three piglets. "My children, I am getting old and I can't support you any longer". Because of that, you three can go wherever you want, to be on your own" "I will support and live myself" She told the three of them that they would look for food by themselves. Then, those three piglets went away from their mother. As the first piglet was walking, it met a wild boar. The wild boar was carrying a bunch of hay. It said, "E boar, give me a bit of that hay you are carrying". It continued, "I don't have a home, nor a place to eat, my mother sent us all away" We have lost a place to live, so share some of your hay with us so that we could make a house with it. The wild boar said, "You are pig, pigs don't get cold, and pigs can just lay down and sleep anywhere". Then the piglet replied, "of course I get cold especially when I get older when my hair falls off and my skin will be thinner, then I will get cold". The piglet continued, "Brother-in-law, please have mercy on me and give me some of your hay". The boar replied saying, "To get this bunch of hay, I gave a basket of crab apples to brother cow in exchange of the hay". Then, the piglet said, "Please give me. I will live with you for the rest of my life". Then, the boar gave the hay to the piglet and they built a house. When they built and lived in a house, a very cruel and cunning wolf came to them. That night, the wolf came and knocked on the door saying, "Piglet, open the door". "Who is it? I'm not going to open the door", replied by the piglet. "Open it, open it", shouted the wolf but the piglet didn't open the door. Then, the wolf immediately pushed the door open by force to get in and ate the piglet. The next day after the piglet was eaten, the second piglet was walking along the way. As the piglet was walking, it met a rabbit carrying a bunch of thatch. The piglet asked to the rabbit, "brother rabbit, give me some of your thatch so that I will make a house to live". The rabbit said, "No, I can't give you because I need it, too". The piglet continued, "Share it with me so that I can plant some of it, and I will make a home with some of it. When the portion I planted sprouts out, both of us can make use of it". Then, the rabbit shared the thatch with the piglet thinking that it would be useful and beneficial to him. And both of them made a house. When the night fell, the wolf came to their house again that night. "Pig, open the door", said the wolf, and the piglet replied, "No, I won't, and who is it that ask me to open the door? I won't open it". The wolf kicked open the door by force and entered the house saying, "Even if you don't open it, I can get in". The wolf entered the house and ate the second piglet. After eating the piglet, the wolf said that the second piglet was more delicious than the first one. Now, the third piglet saw an elephant carrying stones on its back. The piglet said to the elephant, "Brother elephant, give me some of your stones as I am so poor". "I do not have a house anymore because my mom can't feed me any longer that's why she drives me away. That's why share me some of your stones to make a house". Then, the elephant said, "Yes" and the elephant, himself, built a very durable house for the piglet. On that night the wolf came to the house again and demanded, "Open the door", to which the piglet replied, "Brother, why are you here at night?". "Open the door" said the wolf. Then, the piglet replied, "Since you are a good guest, I will open the door for you." And the piglet opened the door. At that moment, the wolf realized that the piglet was smart and clever. The wolf thought that he had to play trick with the piglet and said, "Good neighbour, follow me for I will treat you with something." The piglet replied, "Yes". The wolf said, "There is a sweet potato farm. I will bring you there. So, come with me." The third piglet was also smart and clever that the piglet thought, "This wolf is playing trick on me." And, the piglet followed the wolf to the sweet potato farm. There, they ate sweet potato leaves to the full on that day. Then, the piglet boiled the sweet potatoes. Then, the piglet asked to the wolf, "Would you like to eat some boiled sweet potatoes?" The wolf replied, "Yes, I would love to". Then, the piglet said, "Close your eyes and open your mouth. I will peel sweet potatoes one by one and put it in your mouth. The wolf followed the instruction from the piglet. The wolf opened its mouth wide open. At that time the piglet got boiling sweet potatos and threw them into the mouth of the wolf. The wolf got burnt and died there. The third piglet could kill that cunning and cruel wolf.
