I didn't believe at first. But I have witnessed it. If we go to Myitkyina from Nam San Yang (village) on foot, it takes two days. In the past, there weren't any Burmese there. So, we didn't need to be afraid of anyone on the way. There was only Kachin army. They didn't do any harm to us. The event happened fifty years ago. One day, I went to Myitkyina alone. When I reached Aung Myay (1) village, I saw many people were running here and there. So, I asked them what had happened. They said, "He is trying to kill his mother. This morning, his mother told him to send food for his father who was working at the field and helped him. But he didn't want to go there. He is so lazy. But his mother kept telling him to go and help the father. So, he went there. He told his father that he would kill his mom this evening. He honed a knife to kill his mom. At that time, he was swallowed by the earth. Now, his body is being swallowed. We are going there to watch him." So, I left all of my things at my relative's house and ran there to watch that man. It was really far away, so I was exhausted running there. Some people were going back and some were still going there. I asked them, "Is it still far away?" They said yes. I thought, "Maybe the earth already swallowed him." So, I decided to go back. I continued my journey to Myitkyina. When I came back from Myitkyina, I went back to Aung Myay (1) and asked the villagers if that was true. They said, "Yes, it really happened. That boy was being swallowed all his body except his head and neck. He said that he was angry and asked to give some water and rice. It was very hot around him, and no one could go near him. Then, his mother brought some water and rice. And she went near her son to feed him. Surprisingly, it was not hot when his mother went near him. After she fed him, he was completely swallowed. The mother was upset, but she couldn't help it." That kind of event actually not only in the past. I even witnessed it. Although I went to Myitkyina, it's the same as I witnessed it.
