Description:Translation (Htoi Awng) The story I am going to tell you is about an abusive husband and father. Once upon a time, there was a family in a village. They had one son. But he was still very young. The wife was dead when their son was at a young age. The son was only four or five years old when his mom died. But the father ordered his son to do work. He let him work at a young age. The son was afraid of his father. So, he did all the work his father asked him to do. If he didn't work, his father didn't feed him and beat him too. When his father didn't give him any food, the villagers were pity for him and gave him some food. But his father blamed the villagers for giving food to him. So, the villagers didn't dare to give him food although his father didn't feed him. When he was eight years old, his father ordered him to cook all meals. While the son was cooking or working, the father was just sleeping the whole day. He woke his father up when the meal was ready. He had to wake his father up quietly and gently. If he woke him up loudly, he beat him up. And the father ate the meal alone. He drove his son out of the house when he was going to eat the meal. He ate all and didn't leave anything for his son. Sometimes, there was some cooked rice left. After eating, his father slept again. He opened the door after he had eaten. Then, his son came into the house and cleaned all. And he did the washing-up. His father acted like that every day. When he was nine or ten years old, he had to work outside to earn some money. Although he worked outside, his father didn't care of him and slept all the time. Every morning, he had to prepare breakfast and woke his father up. He woke him up gently. If not, his father beat him up. After his father had finished breakfast, he washed all the dishes and went to work. When he came back from work in the evening, he had to cook for his father. When his father was eating his meal, he had to go out of the house. His father closed the door and ate alone. One morning, he cooked and prepared breakfast for his father. In the past, he always woke his father up when the breakfast was ready. Later, his father got angry when he woke him up. His father acted worse than before. He was shocked because there were no eyes on his father's face. He cried out loud and asked for help. The villagers came to his house when they heard him crying.
