Description:Translation (Seng Pan) The story is about a hen and her chicks. Once upon a time, there lived a mother hen and her chicks in a forest. They lived in a land near a mountain. A wolf lived at a hill of that mountain. The wolf lived there, and that place was also his grazing ground. One day, the hen and her chicks looked for food. They passed the mountain and arrived at the wolf's grazing ground. The hen and her chicks forgot there lived a wolf. As the hen and her chicks roamed around to find the food, they reached the wolf's place. When they arrived there, the hen said, "My babies, don't go to that place. There is a wolf. He will eat us. Let's go back!" And they all ran. The hen saw many wolves there. So, they went and hid behind the bushes. As the hen and her chicks looked for the place to hide,, they found a big gourd water bottle. The hen led her babies into that gourd bottle and hid inside it. At that time, they stayed inside it and kept silence. Soon, the wolves arrived near the bottle. When they walked around the gourd bottle, the hen and her chicks also kept silence and stayed inside. At that time, a chick said, "Mom, I've got a stomach ache." The hen replied, "Baby, hold it for a while!" "Mom, I can't. I could feel the gas goes around in my stomach. It makes me so pain. I cannot hold it anymore." Then the mother hen said, "No. Hold for a minute more! There are wolves near us. They will eat us." However, the chick replied, "Cannot, mom. Cannot! I can't hold it anymore. It's coming out." But the hen said, "No, baby. Please don't do it." However, since the baby chicks couldn't control anymore, he farted loudly. Then, the gourd bottle, where the hen and the chicks were hiding, was burst into pieces. The wolves that were looking for them got shocked and ran to different places. Since the wolves disappeared, the hen and chicks were so happy. The hen was so proud of her baby chick that saved their lives. And they also went back to their shelter.
