Description:Translation (Seng Pan) The story is about an old dog. A long time ago, there was a man. He adopted a dog. The dog was smart and active. This was how the dog was clever. Since the man was a hunter, the dog always followed him in hunting. The dog also helped him in hunting animals. As the dog was still young, it helped its master nimbly. It always supported the man. So, the man loved the dog so much. The dog had assisted its master for many years when it was young and energetic. When its master commanded him to follow and catch the animals, it immediately ran and seized the deers and other wild animals. They harmonized well in hunting. The dog passed the days by helping its mater in hunting. And it got older day by day. One day, the dog followed its master in hunting although it was already old. They went to a forest to pursue and kill wild animals. At that time, they found a boar. As the man chased after the boar, the dog also ran after him. And it jumped on the boar's shoulder and bit its neck. The dog used all his energy and bit strongly. And it gripped the neck firmly with his teeth. Since the dog got old, its canines were not healthy anymore. So, the canines were broken as the dog bit with force. However, it still held its bite. No matter how hard it tried, it couldn't kill the boar. So, the boar also ran away. Then the master got angry. He hit the dog with a spear he was holding. The man hit the dog again and again. He shouted, "What a stupid dog! How could you release the boar?" He chased after the dog and beat. At that time, the dog begged, "Please forgive me! Spare me! The boar ran away this time. But the reason is not that I don't want to work hard. I didn't let the boar run intentionally. Since I am old now, my teeth were not strong anymore. All my teeth were broken. Therefore, I could hold it in any way. So, the boar ran away. When I was young, I helped you a lot, master. Please think about what I did for you. And forgive me." The dog pleaded its master to excuse. So, the master also felt sorry for his dog. He realized that his dog supported him a lot when it was young, but it couldn't help him since it was already older. Finally, they hugged each other and walked back home. Transcription (Lu Hkawng) Gwi dingla a lam. Moi shawng de la langai mi nga ai, Dai wa gaw shi kaw e grai kyet ai gwi langai mi nga ai.
