Description:Translation (Dau Hkawng) The story that I am going to tell now is, in about 1870, it was a prophecy used by one of a prophet of the spirit named Npawp Gam, who lived at around headwater (Hka Hku) region, the village called "Nrawng Kawng". When he prophesied in the 1870s by the spirit to the Kachin people, "Child and grandchild", "when the people from the west came, who are using large pieces of paper, they will establish a great effective school where two rivers meet" he continued, "they will make nine bamboo water fountains, the Kachin people will suck and drink the water around it and for me is, we will return to "Majoi Shingra" where our ancestors lived with our ancestors." In 1878, when the first overseas Baptist missionary to the Kachins, Albert Lyon arrived in Bhamo and built the great Bible College near where two rivers meet. By looking at these a spirit worshiped by the Kachin people knew that the Kachin people would learn and develop from a long time ago. In 1870, the prophet Npawp Gam prophesied, that the Kachin people would become children of God, and it was found to be true today. The spirit also gave the prophecies about the Kachin people from very early. We can know that the people were passing it on from one person to another.
