Description:Translation (Htoi Awng) The story I am going to tell is about the dragon. Long time ago in Manmaw road of Dubak Yang village, there was a woman who was washing napkins in a stream. She put her baby on the rock near the slab where she was washing clothes. Suddenly, a dragon appeared and ate the baby while the baby was lying on it. The villagers saw that thing, and then they called the god of thunder by immolating a buffalo. They did it to punish the dragon. After three days of immolation, the dragon was struck by the thunder. It was dying on the slab. The baby was still in the belly of the dragon. Since then, the villagers gave more offerings and worshipped the god of thunder than earlier. They were so happy because the god of thunder killed the dragon. They gave the fish and the buffalos as offerings to god. I have heard this story from our elders. This story is based on the true event. The evils are trying to deceive and tolerate us. Everyone should be careful no matter where one lives. Whrever you live; near the river or on the mountain, I just want to tell that we should take a good care of us since anything can happen to us.
