Description:Translation (Rita Seng Mai) The story I'll tell you is about a deer. I want you to know about it, and you can tell this story to your children. Once upon a time, there was a deer that loved eating myrobalan fruits. The myrobalan trees grow in the mountains. The fruits have a bitter and sour taste. They are really tasty. The deer tried the fruits and felt a bitter taste. Then it said, "This is really bitter. I will never eat this fruit again. If I eat, let the thunder hit me." And it kept walking. Soon, it reached a stream. It was thirsty, so it drank some water. Then the bitter taste left in its mouth turned into a sweet one. It thought, "Wow, it tastes really good. I will go to eat myrobalan fruits again." It totally about forgot its curse. It retraced its steps and went to the myrobalan tree to eat fruit. The weather was sunny, so it thought, "There is no way the thunder might hit me." However, as soon as it ate the fruits, the thunder hit its head. At that time, it thought, "It's because of my words." The deer had a dented head because of the thunder strike. Since then, the deer have never eaten myrobalan fruits.
