Description:Translation (Seng Pan) The story I am going to tell you now is about a fly and a spider. Once upon a time, a fly and a spider were friends. The spider built his nest by pulling out threads. He shaped it like stairs, and it was so beautiful. On the other hand, the fly was just roaming around and looking for food. But she was smart. One day, the spider said, "My friend, you are flying around the whole day. You look very tired. Come and take a rest in my nest!" He invited the fly. The fly just gave him an excuse that she was busy. And she had never visited him. The spider, however, still insisted that his place was so pleasant since his nest was built with nice yarn. Whenever the fly passed his place, he said, "My friend, I know you are so tired of flying around the whole day. Take a rest at my place!" But the fly always rejected him. The spider didn't give up too. The last time he met the fly, he invited her again. "My friend, climb up my beautiful stair and take a rest here," the spider said. "All of my friends told me that those who visited your place had never found the ways to go out. And they were killed. That's why I am nervous about visiting your place," the fly replied. So, the spider made a nest on the fly's track. And he hid there. When the fly flew back, he persuaded her again. However, he didn't approach her like how he did before. This time, he flattered her and humbly asked, "My friend, fly, you are so gorgeous. Your wings are also so colorful. And your waist is small and cute. Not only that but also your eyes are shining like jade." At that moment, the fly was full of pride for having a tiny waist and being gorgeous. Although she was so scared of the spider before, she was very relieved after hearing the spider's praise. Since the spider had cheered that her eyes were like jade and her head was as beautiful as one side flat stone, she became so conceited. Thereupon, she flew up by spinning around and checked herself. Before she noticed, she trapped in the spider's nest. Then, the spider wrapped her with threads and took her to the place where the fly was invited at first. He killed and ate her after a few days. The fly fell into the spider's praise. But she hadn't noticed it was a trap. And she felt so proud of herself. Therefore, she was caught and killed by her friend, the spider.
