Description:Translation (Gun Mai) The story that I am going to tell now is about many brothers and an orphaned boy who went to trap the bird. Long long ago, an orphaned boy and many brothers lived together in a village. When they were living together, one day, many brothers called the orphaned boy to trap birds that "Hi orphaned boy, let's go to the jungle to trap birds." The orphaned boy then said that "I don't know how to trap a bird," and he denied going with them. But, the many brothers insisted the orphaned boy to go with them to trap birds so the orphaned boy did not dare to reject anymore the many brothers. So, he said that "OK, let's go to trap birds," and when they got to the jungle, they found a place where there was a tree with many fruits. Thus, the many brothers said that "I will set my trap on this branch." "I will put my trap in this branch." They took all the good places to trap on the tree so the orphaned boy set his trap on the ground because there was no more place to trap on on the tree. After they all trapped, "Have you finished?" "Yes, I have finished," they all returned home. The next morning, the many brothers called the orphaned boy again that "Orphaned boy, let's go to see the traps that we trapped yesterday." When the many brothers called him, the orphaned boy said that "Since I could not set my trap on the tree like yours and just trapped on the ground, I won't get anything. So, I don't want to go." But, the many brothers insisted again that "Let's go and see." So, the orphaned boy went with them. But, the many brothers had already gone there before they called the orphaned boy and they saw that a barking deer was caught in the trap of the orphaned boy who just set the trap on the ground as he did not have other places to trap on the tree. And, a hornbill was caught in the trap that the many brothers trapped on the tree. Thus, they swapped the hornbill to the trap of the orphaned boy and the barking deer was hang in the trap on the tree that the many brothers trapped. So, when the orphaned boy saw it, he said that "It is impossible. The barking deer could not be caught on the tree. And, the hornbill could not be trapped on the ground." Then, the many brothers said that "It seems that your hornbill was looking for the fruits on the ground and was caught in your trap. Also, it seems that the barking deer could not find fruit on the ground so he climbed the tree to eat the fruit and was caught in our trap." Then, the orphaned boy said that "It is impossible. The barking deer could not climb the tree. The hornbill is not used to find food on the ground." So, they argued and said that "If so, let's call elders to solve this dispute." The many brothers called all elders and advisors who they knew. Since it was to discuss the dispute, the orphaned boy called an elder that "Please talk for me." "No, the many brothers already called me," the elder said. He also called another elder but the elder also said that "The many brothers already called me." Thus, finally, the orphaned boy only could call an owl who was sitting boringly. The owl said that "OK." On the day of the talk, the many brothers called a lot of elders while the orphaned boy could call only the owl. The owl who was called by the orphaned boy could not talk much and he was just staring in the talk. All the other elders were talking a lot and they asked the owl that "Hey owl, let's talk now. Why are you just sleeping there?" The owl then said that "Don't just talk. I was sleeping soundly. In my dream, I saw that sand got fire and I was carrying water with abasket that has holes to extinguish the fire." Then, all the elders said that "Stupid owl, how the sand could be got fire? How can you also carry water with the basket that has holes? It is impossible." The owl then said that "If so, you all should also think that how the hornbill on the tree would be caught on the ground. How the barking deer who stays on the ground could be caught on the tree?" Then, all agreed on what the owl gave an example of his dream. This story said that the many brothers wanted to bully unfairly the orphaned boy, the orphaned boy rejected what they said and talked with others and the owl gave the example of 'The sand got fire." So, finally, the orphaned boy won the dispute. The story is ended here.
