Description:Translation (Gun Mai) The title of the story is that about a tree witnessed. A long time ago, there was a man who had 100 kyats. As he had 100 kyats, he wanted to go for trading. Because he was planning to go to do work in other places, he thought to himself that "If I bring this 100 kyats with me, I might be ended by spending it. I should leave somewhere. I should entrust someone." So, he went to an old man who he should trust and said that "Please keep this 100 kyats for me. I will take it back when I back. If I bring it with me, I will spend it all and won't be able to save it." So, he left the money with the old man. The old man also said that "Yes, I will keep it for you." Then, the man went to do works. After one and two months, the man returned home. And, he went to the old man and asked to give his money back. "I will take back my 100 kyats now. Please give me," the man said. The old man then said that "Hi boy, I think you are talking with the wrong person. It was not to me. You are meeting the wrong person." "No, I am not wrong. I met with you and asked to keep my money on that day. Please think well," the man said. "Boy, you are meeting the wrong person. I was not with me," the old man kept denying so. Although the man asked many times, the old man kept denying it so the man went to the chief of the village and said that "The old man did to me like that and like that..." The old man kept denying it no matter how many times he was asked. The time that the man gave his money to the old man was not at home and it was under a tree. Later, the judge asked the man that "Do you remember where you gave the money to the old man?" "Yes, I remember. It was under the tree," the man said. When the judge asked the old man, the old man just kept saying that "He did not give me." So, the judge said the man that "If so, was there anyone who can be a witness when you gave the money to the old man?" The man said that "No, there were only we, two persons." "If so, it will be a little bit difficult. But, no problem. The tree will be a witness. Go and call the tree. We will know then," the judge said. "Judge, how can I call the tree? It is just a tree. How can I call and bring it?" the man said. The judge then said that "Just go and tell the tree that the judge calls it. The tree will come with you then." The man was amazed but he decided to go to the tree as the judge told him. The old man and the judge were waiting for the man and the man was very long. Then, the old man said that "Why the man is not arriving back? It is getting dark." The judge said that "May be he will come back very soon." The old man then said that "No, I am sure that he must not be back yet because the tree is very far from here. He can't get back just for now. It is a stupid thing." Therefore, the judge understood and said that "Oh... you know that where the three is? If he did not give you, how will you know where the tree is?" So, the judge found that the old man was guilty. After a quite long, the man came back and said that "Judge, you said that the tree will follow me. But, I don't see the tree is coming with me." "As soon as you told the tree, the tree got here first and the tree has already witnessed about how you two did. It got solved all now. You can just take your money back now," the judge said. And, the judge also punished the old man.
