Khmu Name: hntòr Krɔ́ɔŋ 'Mekong eggplant'
Description: A wild eggplant with white flowers, green fruits and thorny stems. It grows in open places, especially in young fallows and fields. People collect the fruits, mix with other vegetables and make soup from them. Some¬times they just roast them and eat with rice. People also cut the stems, dry them in the sun, and burn them to make charcoal (knsáh) for gunpowder.
