Description: A 40–50 m tall tree which grows among the tall trees near a stream or river. The bark is white with red spots, the wood is red and the sap is red like that of the màaŋ tree. The wood is good for building all kinds of houses. This tree has no status or high respect and there is no taboo against using the wood, so people may build any kind of house with it. In September and October, bears, squirrels and barking-deer come to eat the fruits which have fallen to the ground.
