Description: A grass which grows in cool places near the streams and rivers. In places where it grows (called pté dín dáak, ~ lyhɨ́ay ‘suitable place with clay soil and sasa¬grass on the slopes’), there are many banana plants, Macaranga (kltàak) trees and Ficus semicordata (kltòoc) trees, and the earth is good for growing rice, vegetables and other plants. Many sambar deer, barking-deer and other wild animals come to feed on this grass. There are also many land-leeches because the area is cool.
