Description: People grow basil in their gardens and fields. It is used as seasoning with all kinds of soup made from cultivat¬ed vegetables, with fish roasted in banana leaves (kúup) and with stews with very little water in them (òt). When someone gets dust in an eye, he should put two or three dried basil seeds in the eye, close his eyes and lie down on the floor. After about 30–50 minutes, the seeds have swelled, are wet and soft, and have ab¬sorbed the dust. When the person gets up and the basil seeds come out, the eye is clean.
Note: "Id" refers to the original ID of the dried plant specimen
