Description: A plant which grows in moist places, or along rivers and streams. The stem has thorns, and the 10–15 cm wide leaves are edible. In the hot season when there are no cultivated vegetables in the fields, people go to the riverbanks, col¬lect the young leaves and straws and make soup. Some¬times they steam them with pako fern (krsúuñ) and make salad (sɔ́ɔt), or mix with fish and roast in banana leaves (kúup). It is also used as medicine against cough, especially for buffalo and pigs.
Note: "Id" refers to the original ID of the dried plant specimen
