Khmu Name: hmpúur tráak 'buffalo skin'
Description: A 15–20 m tall tree whose bark is as thick as buffalo hide. It grows in dry places among kcó and cɛ̀h trees. When people clear the fields they let these trees remain because the rice grows well when there are some big trees in the fields, and also so that people have some places to shelter when it is very hot. The wood is hard enough for building houses. When the flowers become dry, they fall down whirling in the air.
