Description:ʔEyTaɲ and ʔEyPlɛp play the flute at Maŋkɛn camp in November 2014. It is night time and drizzling outside, and people are milling around cooking and chatting. The two players sit close, but do not look at each other while they play. They begin by playing in what sounds like it might be call and response (ʔEyPlɛp would sometimes do this when he was teaching me), but they quickly each begin to play more elaborate sounds and drift apart. ʔEyTaɲ stops playing, and ʔEyPlɛp continues. Then ʔEyTaɲ plays by himself for a while, until he is interrupted by some children playing with another flute that is lying around.
