Description:Jew’s harp. There is story about the Jew's harp. There was a Governor’s daughter who was more beautiful in that region. All young men in that region competed with each other n order to get marry with her. Her father said: ”If any of you want to get marry with my daughter, then each of you make the instruments and play for her to listen.” Some of the young men brought their bronze drums and played them, other brought their bossed gongs and played them for her to listen. However, those instruments do not impress her, because those sounds irritated her. An orphaned, a young man made a jew’s harp and went to sit outside her house because people did not allowed him to enter the house of the governor. He sat and played his jew’s harp outside her house. She heard that sound from the jew’s harp, she runs out and looked there was an orphaned boy sitting and played his jew’s harp outside of her house. She opened the door and went out to meet him. She like the melody and she sat with him and listened the Jew’s harp all night long. After that she fell in love with him and invited him to enter her house. Some months later they got married. The Jew's harp is specially for the young men, all the young men should have a Jew's harp. When he went to visit his girl friend at night he stood outside his girl friend house near to her bedroom and played his Jew’s harp to wake up her and let her to open the door for him to come in. When the young girl hears the melody from the Jew's harp she must listen to it carefully. If she does not recognize the melody from the Jew’s harp, she would not open the door, because sometimes another young man may go to play his Jew’s harp to lure the girl to open the door for him to come in. When she recognized the melody from her boy friend, she go out and open the door for him to come in.
