Description:Book. Siberian Yupik is spoken on St. Lawrence Island Alaska and at the southeasern tip of the Chukchi Peninsula in Russia. Tis dictionary was started in 1976 by Vera Kaneshiro and S. Jacobson. Michael Krauss contributed lexicon, phonology, and practical orthography. Marie Oovi, Linda Badten, Sandra Iknokinok and Edna Apatiki also contributed. This work draws on E.S. Rubtova's Eskimossko-Russkiy Slovar' (Eskimo-Russian Dictionary) 1971. 6,000 bases and 250 postbases. 410 pp. ISBN 1-55500-029-0 Comments: Copies shelved in the archive.
