Description:The Yeri documentation project included 45 weeks of fieldwork in Sandaun Province, Papua New Guinea by Jennifer Wilson between 2010 and 2014. The initial trip of fourteen weeks was funded by NSF grant #0756075, while fieldtrips of nineteen weeks in 2012 and 12 weeks in 2014 were funded by the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropholoy by means of a doctoral fellowship I received.
The speaker tells a legend about a boy who comes back to life after being killed by his sister before later turning into a bird.
