Description:		A letter from the slaves of St. Thomas to the Danish King.
		A letter from the male slaves of St. Thomas to the Danish King. Count Zinzendorf brought the letter with him to Europe after his visit to St. Thomas (Van Rossem & Van der Voort, eds. 1996). It was published in the Büdingische Sammlung in 1742, a collection of writings from Zinzendorf and from the community of the Moravian Brethren.
		The Negerhollands used in this letter clearly shows influences from Dutch, and it is likely that a Moravian missionary will have had at least some (editing?) influences.
		The black slaves of St. Thomas, baptised by Martinus wrote a letter to the Danish King in 1739 in name of over 650 black slaves who were taught of Jesus Christ by Martinus.
