| Goal of this project is to get a clear view of the command of Sarnami and/or Sranan of primary school children of Suriname origin and to study their command of Dutch. | ||
| The task is to retell a story about a boy and his football. Together the boy and his ball go to a football competition in the park. Unfortunately the boy and his team do not win. After the match he stops to order a fries. He puts his ball in the truck of a car. The car rides off. Fortunately, it stops for a pedestrian crossing where the boy takes his ball back and goes home. | ||
| Dorian de Haan is the coordinator/collector of this project. She is of Dutch origin. She works at the University of Utrecht, The Netherlands, at the Developmental Psychology department. | ||
| Jimmy is of Sarnami Hindustani origin and was born in Suriname. When he arrived in the Netherlands he went to (pre-school) kindergarten. At home he speaks Dutch and Sarnami. He prefers to speak Dutch and he finds it important to speak Dutch. He would like to have Sarnami as the first language in school. He would like to go back to Suriname one day. Same boy as in 18G, 18I, 31A & 41B. | ||
