| Goal of this project is to get a clear view of the command of Sarnami and/or Sranan of primary school children of Suriname origin and to study their command of Dutch. | ||
| The task is to retell a story about a boy and his songbird. Together the boy and his bird go to a songbird competition. Unfortunately they do not win. After the match he stops to buy cookies. The boy put down the cage on the streets. The door opens and the bird flies away. Luckily someone catches the bird and gives it to the boy. Together they go home. | ||
| Gaitrie Ramnandanlal is an assistant of Dorian de Haan. She is from Sarnami Hindustani origin. She studies clinical psychology in at the University of Utrecht, Netherlands. | ||
