Description:		ENGLISH: A Trumai woman teaches her grandchildren songs of the Yamurikuma festivity. They are training the dance as well. The first song is in Trumai, and consists of offences made towards the men of the village, which is part of the Yakurikuma ritual. The other songs are not in the Trumai language, but rather have special lyrics. The recording also includes informal conversations among the women, sometimes in Trumai, sometimes in Portuguese (the recording is a sample of how this type of interaction happens). The event happened during the night, in the center of the village. ----- PORTUGUÊS: Uma mulher Trumai ensina canções da festa de Yamurikuma para suas netas. Elas também terinam as danças. A primeira canção é em Trumai e fala dos homens da aldeia, o que é parte do ritual. As demais canções têm uma letra especial, não sendo na língua Trumai. A gravação também inclue conversas informais entre as mulheres e moças, às vezes em Trumai, às vezes em Português (a gravação é uma amostra de como se dá esse tipo de interação). O evento ocorreu à noite, no centro da aldeia.
		The purpose of the project is to document Trumai, a genetically isolate language spoken in Brazil. The archive consists of a collection of texts in the language, plus other kinds of materials relative to the Trumai culture, such as photos, drawings, songs, educational materials, etc.
		A Trumai woman and her granddaughters perform songs of the Yamurikuma ceremony, interacting with each other sometimes in Trumai, sometimes in Portuguese. The event is very informal; it is not the real festivity, but just a kind of training.
		One of the songs is in the Trumai language. The others are not (they actually have special lyrics). The recording also includes conversations, sometimes in Trumai, sometimes in Portuguese.
		The songs are perfomed by various young women. They are taught by their grandmother, Speaker 12.
		Speaker12 is a native speaker of Trumai. Both her parents were Trumai. She and her brother are the last descendents of the Awaldat group, a Trumai subdivision that used to speak a different dialect of the language. However, this dialect seems to have disappeared (Speaker12's way of speaking is similar to the way of speaking of the other Trumai individuals). Her late husband was Kayabi. She lives with her son and daughter-in-law and has several grandchildren. She is middle-aged (50 or more).
		Raquel is a Brazilian linguist. She has been working with the Trumai people since 1989. She has a Ph.D. in Linguistics from Rice University (Houston, Texas, U.S.A).
