| Lacandon Cultural Heritage is a documentation of the language and culture of the northern Lacandon(Maya), who live in the rain forest in Chiapas, the south-eastern state of Mexico. They number approximately 350 men, women and children, who have retained much of their traditional culture and religion. The project serves as a preservative measure against loss of the traditional knowledge, stories, and verbal performances that are central to Lacandon culture. It also serves as an interactive resource tool for linguists and non-linguists to access data relevant to their areas of interest, such as folklore, ethnobotany, cultural anthropology, etc. | ||
| SK narrates the story about the two-headed jaguar. This story was volunteered by SK. For another version see Jag_2Head_KM. SK gives a Lacandon version followed by a Spanish translation of the story, at the request of the collector. | ||

| SK is the main contributor in this session. The collector is the only other person present, and she is neither seen nor heard on camera. | ||

| SK is one of CK and KP's younger children. He was born in Naha and has lived there all his life. He still lives at home, with his new wife NI. He provides the bulk of the Lacandon-Spanish translations, and is present during many sessions recorded with AM. | ||
