Description:PICTURE-OBJECT MATCHING John Lamonga instructing, Simon from P:uu paa arranging. First 8 pictures only. They got hooked up on the second one, because John saw it as a vertical not a horizontal arrangement. As far as I could see, using deictics only, with no left/right, with the result that some left/right inversions, and some 90 degree transpoositions. The main locutions seem to be: bwêmê wu no (its face) mada (that way) yi a tóó .......................a katin wun a tóó (facing me) .......................ngatin wun a tóó (facing you) pudumaku = cow, mbwáá = fence, dedepee = trough, mbêpê pyuu 'fastrunner' = horse.
Ongoing documentation project, 1995 onwards.
