Description:		Esta obra es una traducción de la tesis doctoral del autor, la cual presente un análisis de la morfología de la lengua popoluca de la Sierra que se habla en el municipio de Soteapan, Veracruz, México. Las dos temas mayores son una descripción de los procesos morfológicos, tanto flexivos como derivacionales y las variantes de pronunciación causadas por cambios en los fonemas y por dos grados de acentuación. Las descripciones están ilustradas por palabras y frases analizadas, así como dos textos analizados. Un apéndice presenta una comparación de algunos aspectos morfológicos en el popoluca y el zoque, una lengua relacionada lingüísticamente. También incluye una bibliografía.
		This work is a translation of the author's doctoral dissertation which presents an analysis of the morphology of the Highland Popoluca language that is spoken in the municipality of Soteapan, Veracruz, Mexico. The primary topics covered are the morphophonemic processes in Popoluca, both inflectional and derivational, and the variations in pronunciation caused by changes in the phonemes and by the two levels of accent. The descriptions are illustrated by analyzed words and phrases and by two analyzed texts. An appendix presents a comparison of some aspects of the morphology in Popoluca and the linguistically related Zoque language. A bibliography is also included.
