This book tells the legend of Ngòninkòrò Bama (the Crocodile of Ngòninkòrò) and illustrates the importance of social relations of the village. The people of Ngòninkòrò are threatened by a crocodile that lives in the nearby river. It pounces on the young boys and girls and threatens the women. The women of Ngòninkòrò call on the village chief to end the terror. The chief asks two different groups of hunters to defeat the crocodile, but they cannot. Finally, when Sirakòrò Nje comes to Ngòninkòrò, he slays the crocodile and returns peace to the town. Text and images (PDF file) Electronic version of: Jaabi, Musa. Ngòninkòrò bama / Musa Jaabi.
